Swedish Ministers to visit Royal North Shore Hospital
The Swedish Parliamentary Committee on Health and Welfare will visit Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) this Saturday 12th January. Their visit is part of a major study expedition to learn more about Australia’s health, medical and social services.
The Committee’s seven day trip only allows time for one hospital visit. The delegates specifically expressed an interest to visit RNSH.
“Royal North Shore Hospital is of great interest to Sweden as it is such a large hospital and at the forefront of medical research,” said Charlotte Holst, Embassy of Sweden.
The delegates are looking forward to visiting the hospital and learning how Australian hospitals operate,” said Ms. Holst.
The Committee will visit the Emergency Department, Neo Natal Care Unit (NICU) and Cardiac Thoracic Labs, where senior medical staff will brief the visitors.
The Swedish Parliamentary Committee on Health and Welfare is a component of the Riksdag (Swedish Parliament).
Whilst in Australia, the Committee has visited Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. After their visit to RNSH the delegates will be taking some leisure time on a Sydney Harbour Cruise, where they will see many of Sydney’s waterside landmarks.
