More information

At HKH Child Care we strive to make sure that every child’s day is enjoyable, challenging and stimulating. We do this by providing our teaching staff with time away from face to face teaching each week which is dedicated to developing a child centred, educationally based program, which is developmentally appropriate to meet the needs of all the children. The program is based on observations that have been taken of children by the staff throughout the week. Experiences aimed at school readiness are offered throughout the year in the 3-5’s room.

Our professional staff ensure that all areas of children’s development are provided for and are stimulated daily. The areas include:

  • Physical Development
  • Cognitive Development
  • Social Development
  • Emotional Development and
  • Language Development

Sensory development is also a high priority in Early Childhood so experiences focussing on this area are often planned for the younger children.

The Centre strongly encourages parent involvement in the decision making process of their child/ren's development and care. Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings are held on a regular basis and all families are welcome to attend. Staff also seek feedback from families on an ongoing basis through informal discussions, parent meetings and Centre questionnaires.
