Inpatient Services
Inpatient Services are provided in hospital. Admission to the rehabilitation wards is by doctor’s referral only. This may be through
admission to the Emergency Department, an acute care ward, another hospital or care facility, or
directly from the community through the general practitioner.
Community Services
Any client, family member, friend or health service provider can make a referral to the Aged
Care Assessment Team, Dementia Services, Hip Protector project, or the Continence Advisory
Service. Bernard Curran Unit, Rehabilitation Discharge Team, and Community Equipment Services may
require a referral from a doctor or an occupational therapist, depending on the service required.
For further information follow the links to those services, or phone the hospital and ask for the area you would like to
access to gain specific information.
We have a number of sites both on and off the campus of Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital. For more information see the individual service links.
See the individual service links.
See the individual service links. If you are unsure of the team you would like to access and the links do not provide the necessary information for you, then phone 94779514 or 94779525 between 8.30am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, for assistance.
RACS actively promotes research and therefore at any one time will be involved in a variety of projects, such as clinical trials relating to Dementia, nutrition in the Elderly, and improving care processes for the elderly in the hospital.
We are very grateful to both individuals and community groups who have supported RACS so generously, enabling us to improve the environment for clients. RACS has also been fortunate enough to receive very generous and ongoing support from the Curran Foundation over many years.
