Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Health Service provides a range of services to the local government areas of Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai. The services at Wisemans Ferry Community Health Centre are targeted to the local community and designed to improve or maintain the health of the community.

Who are we?

Wisemans Ferry Community Health Centre, Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Health Service.

What do we do?

The health services available at each centre are targeted to the local community and designed to improve or maintain the health of the community. Services fall into three main categories: Clinical services, support services and activities for older people are provided to the Wiseman’s Ferry community.


Clinical services

  • Community Nursing: The community nurse is available within the Hornsby Shire for support, general nursing, and home visiting. For more information phone 02 4566 4423


  • Child and Family Health Service: For support and information on any parenting issue for children up to 5 years of age, or for an appointment time, contact Galston Early Childhood Health Centre on 9653 3928.

  • Podiatry: This service is restricted to persons holding a full pensioner card with full medical entitlement card. Specific medical conditions apply and a referral from your doctor is required. Support services

  • Wisemans Ferry Community Support Service: This service is an activity of the Baptist Community Service and is funded under the Home and Community Care Program. Services provided include: transport, personal care, domestic assistance, allied health, nursing care, and case management. A fee applies. For more information phone 02 4566 4700

Activites for older people

  • Frail and Aged Day Care Centre (Sunshine Club): This is run each Wednesday from 8.30am to 3pm. The frail and aged are brought together to enjoy company, activities, entertainment and a meal. A small fee applies. For more information phone 0434149335.

What are our hours?

Our hours of business are Mondays 9am to 12pm, Tuesdays 8am to 4:30pm and Wednesdays 8am to 4:30pm.
